Only changes on my bike were the rear shocks, and front fork springs, Turn signals (which never worked), dman skid plate, DTE1 desert gas tank, tires, and the dman bear skin seat cover I stole from him during the trip, Other than that the bike was stock for all that made it go..

Yes, I did work the bike over, and replaced everything that moved, rolled, slid, or sparked, but kept it stock other than accessories.

The opening is a section from "Risk and Reward" which is a selection from the Sonicfire Pro collection for movie soundtracking and the selection in the middle is entitled "Hot Rox" which was performed by Hank Marvin. I do not know the author, tho it may be him. [dunno]

Joe rode his nearly bone stock 360 home from Utah to Florida. He is still running the same plug her started with in Broken Arrow. He is still treating the nearly terminal case of Monkey Butt......:p

did I miss the ride report

dtmeis wrote:DVM and I will be doing a one day "Mini-TAT' ride on our CT175's thru Yosemite sometime in later July. We will begin near the summit of Tioga Pass at appx 9800 ft.. we will do a loop down to the Valley floor and back. We estimate the total mileage to be 100 miles plus and will take a full day to do. We will have no chase vehicles, spares etc...Our bikes are well sorted out as (we put 300 to 400 miles a month of both hard dirt and road riding on our machines). DVM's previous comments about making the TAT may not be unfounded as we have put in the time and have experienced lots of situations on our machines..and we know every nut and bolt on them. When we confirm a date and time for the ride we will post here as we would like anyone interested with a reliable Yamie enduro to join us...
Did I miss the ride report for the Western Gang's Ride. IF so, please advise, If Not, then come on guys, need the story.

DT400 TAT Bike Update

Post by baoktiger » Tue Aug 07, 2007 5:36 pm

WOW, close call.

Just finished getting the DT400C TAT/Mountain Bike ready from the TAT ride.

Found the oil tank vent line was plugged and slowed the flow of 2 stroke oil and at times stopped the flow. LUCKY I made it. The vent line was plugged with mud from an earlier very wet and muddy ride prior to the TAT. REROUTE THE VENT LINE GUYS!!!!!!!

Overall;
1. Replaced rear tire - trip tire was 40% used on the 2000 miles on the bike. GO MT21
2. Changed oil - dirty but not bad, nothing found unusal
3. Changed Front Fork Seals - blew both out
4. 2ea Front turn signals - 1 distroyed in mud crash, 1 with wires torn out of it.
5. Remove top end to check injector pump issue - Nothing found damaged replaced gaskets and reassembled top end.
6. Replaced spark plug
7. Filled the battery with water
8. Check the carb for trash and reassembled
9. Cleaned air filter - Need to find a better filter, the foam one sucks.
10. Filled with gas, and is ready to ride.

I have several foam filters, brand new...Uni-Filter.
I also have one spare K&N...

However, it may be just as easy to find a seller that sells them.
They are still offered.
