Great pixs guys !

Thanks for posting them.

Can you tell us more about the ride and where you went ?

You take highway 62 or ride the 23 ?

Was it mostly highway or dirt ?

How did the bikes run ?

Any mechanical issues ?

Dang... I need to know more details !

I would estimate the mix was 98% dirt and 2% blacktop.

No mechanical issues.

At Oark, I noticed that my chain was dry so I used Yamalube 2S. There was nothing else around.

First day, no humidity, the engine ran 300 to 340 degrees most of the time.
Uphill it would hit 400.

Second day, high humidity, the engine rarely got above 350 on the climb. Most of the time, it had the "rich" blubber and stayed 280-325. All because of humidity changing the mix ratio.

Water crossings scare the bejeesus outa me. Who knows how deep they are? Whaddaya ... supposed to guess? Are there rocks under there? Who can tell what might be under there.

This could be due to a lack of experience on my part.

Looks like a great ride, all we have to ride is desert, mountain riding looks awesome!

Q. Can you tell us more about the ride and where you went ?
A. We spent most of the time south of Eureka Springs on dirt and forest roads riding the river bottoms and mountain roads. White Rock Riding area has some good stuff, but we had limited time in that area. We did head North of the area to look at some of the flood damage of the summer. Road closed and we had a parade to attend, and headed back. Got to go back and check it out more.

Q. You take highway 62 or ride the 23 ?
A. We rode both. At 45 mph on a 2-stroke either can be less than thrilling. At 70 mph on the KTM990 they can be a great ride. 23 is called Pigs Tail. Lots of riders hit it.

Q. How did the bikes run ?
A. Deets Bike always had something that worried him, he has too much information. Mine ran great, all I expect is to puke smoke and keep going. Mine never indicated it was rich, lean, cold, hot, hungry, tired, angry or other. Got me home every night.

Q. Any mechanical issues ?
A. None, both bikes did well.
