2k6 is a 78 YZ 125. Looks like a PO made an IT out it as previously mentioned. Welded a loop on out back not stock on a YZ. That is a 78 YZ 125 aluminum swingarm. Must have put an IT*wiring*harness and added a lighting coil or complete ignition. They spent some coin on all that! Must have been a serious race bike for someone. Could have had an IT 175 motor.

A DT 125 or 175 motor would bolt in. No chance on the DT400 in that. Where is the air box? Do you have that?

No airbox unfortunately, so a dt 125/175 or it or yz would bolt right in?? So that broken point on the frame is nothing to worry about I guess?

Yes it does have a harness in it with cut wires and duct tape. Will be looking for a motor, any cmbo preference as far as motor/carb/exhausts go??

TY very much UTBMX

IMHO you should part that out on eBay and use the money on a complete. Without a motor pipe carb and airbox, not worth much as it sits. But if really want to continue find an airbox and pipe. Find a wasted DT 175 and transfer the lighting and wiring over and you'd have something way better than the DT. Lots of work. Would need to run one of those little batteries. Neat little run around trail bike. Have the shock rebuilt.
