Since the yz exhaust port is higher the effective trapped compression(corrected compression ratio) is probably the same as the DT roughly. So putting the YZ head on the DT may throw the stock DT's compression ratio over the top into the detonation zone.

I believe the idea behind the offset combustion chamber was to help balance the heat between the hot exhaust side of the piston and cylinder and the cooler intake side. So there will be less thermal expansion or distortion of the cylinder and a cooler crown. It does this by the exhaust side being more shielded against the direct full force of combustion. Also the larger squish on the exhaust side where a bigger portion of trapped cooling fuel/air mixture lowers crown/head temps.
