Just purchased a 1979 Yamaha DT125 Enduro as our first project bike, for my 12 year old and I. He races modern bikes. My first Ike was a Kawasaki enduro back ithe late 1970's.

Looking into getting my first motorcycle right now and Yamaha enduros seem like the direction I may go. I really dig cafe style bikes and I'm hoping to buy a nice little enduro that I can work on and appreciate

Default New Projects

Finally got around to figuring out how to post pictures. Just picked up these two bikes off of Craig's list. The 400 runs and the 250 has spark and is not locked up, but hasn't started yet. Now all I need is time and money.

BJDT100 May possibly Own a Yamaha Enduro?

Default Dt100

I have a 1978 DT100 that is slowing working it's way across Canada so I can restore it. It has less than 6000 original km's and was the bike my wife road as a kid on the farm. It runs rough after years in the barn but it will clean up very nicely. I'm hoping to find a shop manual and some good advice on the restoration as I go. Glad to have found this forum!

Default Yamaha's

Hi all. I'm David. I have owned Yamaha's since I was a kid, but got away from it around 25 (life, kid, etc). Now I am 47 and have been buying them up around me wherever I can. I have prolly 30 right now that I have bought in the last year and a half. I recently picked up a really nice DT 360 1974 off of craigslist. Its a European bike that was shiped over here by a soldier after his tour of duty ended. Still has his name stenciled under the seat! Its a runner but will need a complete restore. I restored 2 last winter (1974 DT125a and a 1977 DT250E). They came out well enough to win 1st and 3rd place at an ABATE show I took them too last winter. I also have a rare little bird, a ?1974?? Kami KA 100. It has a Fuji motor. They are pretty scarce. Hope to get it up and going soon also. Hope to hear from you guys back!

Default Welcome, Dave!

You're the first DAVE on the site, to my knowledge.

What part of Iowa? I went to grad school for a year at U of Iowa back in 98-99.
