I have a new manual for '66-'77 twins. I got it when I bought a rd 200 which got stolen. PM me,and I'll find out what shipping costs. I don't want anything for it.

Does the cap screw on? If so,then a viton o-ring would seal the joint like a gasket, just find one that fits the cap. Gasgacinch sealer will seal almost anything and is resistant to gasoline when set. I use it to "glue" gaskets to one side of joints like water pumps, case covers, etc.

Running without a filter can do a lot of damage in a short time. A nylon cloth has more resistance to flow than you'd think when simply stretched over the carb because of the surface area compared to a filter which is 4" long.

Get a UNI sock filter and try that. If it runs well with the sock on it,you'll have to richen the jets a bit or hole your piston if you're running stock jetting.

Probably a good idea to replace crank seals if in doubtful condition. Then,at leakdown testing time, the seals would not be such probable culprits.

If that wasn't on the left coast,a couple of thousand miles from flyover country where I live,I'd be all over it.

Hey,Bubba! The tank on that thing is worth $125,if it's not rusted out. My Daughter lives there and not far from home, but I'm busy now.
